N4S (Need for Speed) Project (January, 2014 to December, 2017)
European Union Project
Worked as an active researcher in N4S project till March, 2015. The aim of the Need for Speed (N4S) Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) is to create the foundation for the success of the Finnish software intensive businesses in the new digital economy. Under the hood I am responsible for initiating the investigation and rationalization of Software Ecosystem health analysis.
Tivit/Digile’s Cloud Software (January, 2010 to December, 2013)
Tekes Funded Project, Finland.
Worked as an active researcher during the literature survey phase of the Cloud Software Project. Cloud Software was a Finnish research program, whose goal had been to significantly improve the competitive position of Finnish software intensive industry in global markets in the field of cloud computing.
Ecosystem Enabling Architectural pattern (April, 2013 to July, 2013 and July, 2014 to March, 2015)
Funded by TUT and PacketVideo Corporation, Finland.
Worked as an active researcher with the close collaboration of Packet Video (pv.com) company in studying, designing and documenting the plug-in based architecture as a vehicle to build an ecosystem for the flagship product of the Orange Telecom, France.

This is a flagship product of Orange Telecom, France with around 5 Million users. I worked as a developer in this project for Android platform. Additionally, worked for Architectural design planning to implement it as a plug-in based platform, creating developers guide for third party developers to create plug-ins, code reading and documentation for both Android and iOS platforms.

The MyGeoTrust project aims to revolutionize crowdsourcing of mobile data. The target of this project is to offer novel approach and corresponding solution product (in android platform) to mobile device users with greater control on their private data (e.g., localization data, personal information) and authority in allowing and tracking of their data at any given time by the third party data consumers (e.g., applications or companies like Google and Apple).
Currently I am working in this project as an experience designer and developer on Android Platform.

Systematic Literature Review (SLR)
Strong competence in designing and conducting systematic literature reviews/surveys within the domain of software engineering.
Empirical and Case Study Research
Strong competence in conducting Empirical and Case study research. During my PhD, I have empirically investigated the contemporary notion of Socio-Technical dependency during the evolution of Open source software projects. As a case study, I studied several long leaved OSS projects including FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, FFMpeg, Eucalyptus, and GStreamer. Repositories containing evolution of both social and technical domain of these projects were extracted and analyzed. Alongside, few of my studies explored data from third party hosting sites, e.g., Ohloh.

Constructive research is one of the key methodologies of my research work. During my PhD, I have proposed frameworks and conceptual model of OSS projects, and implemented corresponding tools named "Binoculars" and “Pomaz”, respectively to demonstrate their applicability.
